Invite your team.
Bring your teammates in with the right role, teams and a safe sign-in.

In short
You invite your team to Risti from Settings › People › Members › Invite people. Enter their emails, pick a role and teams, and send. It takes about 5 minutes, and each link works once for 7 days. You can also let colleagues join by email domain and require two-factor sign-in for everyone.
Before you start
- The Owner or Admin role in Risti.
- Your teammates’ email addresses.
- A free seat for each person who answers; the Members page shows “N of M seats used”.
- To require two-factor for everyone: the Owner role and two-factor on for yourself.
Open Members
Go to Settings › People › Members and press Invite people.
Add their emails
Type the email addresses, separated by commas.
Pick a role and teams
Choose Admin or Agent; Agent is the default. Add the teams they join, if you like. An owner can make someone an Owner with Change role after they join.
Send the invitation
Press Send invitation. Each link works once and expires in 7 days; Resend, Copy link and Revoke are on the Invitations tab.
Tip. Inviting a whole group at once? Share a join link in your team chat instead: it carries the role and team you choose and works for 1, 7 or 30 days.
Create your teams
Add teams with New team. Each app’s Routing sends its conversations to teams, and apps with no team go to the default team.
Let your domain join
Owners can open Settings › Organization › Security & sign-in, add your email domain and choose how people join: Off, Join right away or Ask for approval, with their role. Requests wait under “Waiting for approval”.
Require two-factor sign-in
Turn on two-factor for yourself in You › Profile, then turn on Require two-factor for everyone. Others set it up at their next sign-in.
What happens next
- Owners can do everything, including billing, API keys and deletion. Admins manage all conversations, members, teams and apps. Agents see the conversations assigned to them and their teams’.
- A seat is a person who answers, and AI agents take no seat. When every seat is taken, add seats in Plan & billing first; see per-seat pricing.
- Two-factor uses an authenticator app with 6-digit codes and ten recovery codes, shown once. A browser can be remembered for 30 days.
- In Roles & access, choose who can claim unassigned conversations with Take it and whether agents can start conversations.
If it doesn’t work
How long does an invitation link last?
7 days, and it works once. You can resend it, copy the link or revoke it on the Invitations tab.
Can I create custom roles?
No. Risti has three fixed roles: Owner, Admin and Agent.
Do AI agents need a seat?
No. A seat is a person who answers. AI agents such as MaryAI take no seat.
Can anyone with our email domain join?
Only if an owner adds the domain in Security & sign-in and chooses Join right away or Ask for approval. Public mail domains are refused.
What if a teammate loses the phone with their authenticator app?
They choose Use a recovery code at sign-in and enter one of the ten recovery codes they saved when they set up two-factor.
