Per-seat pricing
Also called: Per-user pricing · Seat-based pricing · Per-agent pricing
Per-seat pricing is a pricing model in which a software plan costs a set amount for each person who uses it, usually charged monthly or yearly.
A seat usually means one named person with their own sign-in. Per-seat pricing is easy to predict and grows with the team, which is why much team software uses it.
The pitfalls are people who use the tool only now and then, and shared logins, which break most terms of service and erase the record of who did what. AI usage fits seats poorly, so many products add monthly usage limits on top.
How Risti does it
Risti’s plans are per seat: Free, Team and Business, paid monthly or yearly. A seat is a person who answers; AI agents such as MaryAI take no seat. Plans include monthly limits for things like AI call minutes and AI assists, and credits buy boost packs.
The Members page shows “N of M seats used”. When every seat is taken, inviting more people shows “Every seat is taken. Add seats in Plan & billing first.” Prices are on the pricing page.
