Call transcription
Also called: Call transcript · Speech-to-text · Voice transcription
Call transcription is turning the audio of a call into written text, usually with automatic speech recognition, so the conversation can be read, searched and summarised.
Transcript quality depends on the audio, accents and how often people talk over each other. Names, numbers and addresses are where errors most often appear, so key details are worth checking against the recording.
A transcript makes a call as easy to review as a chat. Teams use it to find what was promised, to write follow-ups and, with AI, to produce summaries and next steps.
How Risti does it
In Risti, Transcripts are turned on in Settings › Apps › Call recording after Record calls, because a transcript is made from the recording. AI summaries and next steps need transcripts on and give each call a summary, a key fact and next steps; they count toward the plan’s AI assists.
Calls synced from Sipuni or OnlinePBX arrive with a transcript and a summary, routed to the team you chose.
